Located on the A361 in Oxfordshire, it received around 350,000 visitors in 2012. During the summer, you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or take a picnic to enjoy during your visit.
The park’s gift shop is staffed by a friendly staff and sells all sorts of souvenirs and gifts for the whole family. During summer, the gift shop is open until 5pm, while it closes at 4pm during the winter.

The Cogges Woodland Club is a great place to bring your children during the summer holidays, and you can also take them to nearby Cogges Manor Farm for a day of activities. These include nature play, storytelling, and arts & crafts. There are also workshops led by Science Oxford, including a sell-out workshop on the evening of the 7th of August. Most activities are free to attend, though some may require a fee for materials.
Waddesdon Manor
One of the most beautiful stately homes in the south of England is Waddesdon Manor. This spectacular estate is open to the public and offers a variety of special events throughout the year. For instance, in August, the property will host its annual Chilli Fest, a celebration of hot peppers. The event is free and features live music, salsa lessons, and artisan producers.
For visitors with children, the estate has a seasonal trail and a playground. There’s also a fine wine collection. The estate’s cellars boast the largest collection of Rothschild wines. These wines are from the Chateau Lafite Rothschild and Chateau Mouton Rothschild vineyards in Bordeaux, France.
